Laura Hartson, Owner & Spa Goddess
I am Laura, the owner of Bliss Salon & Day Spa, as well as a practicing spa team member offering services in Skincare, Massage, Makeup Artistry, and Hair Removal. Bliss was founded in 2004 by 3 partners, me, my beloved mom Nancy, who passed away in late 2005, and Sabrina, a local hair stylist. My Mom was really excited to be part of the business and is greatly missed; Sabrina and I agreed to split ways in mid 2007.

Now at the sole owner of Bliss, I will admit I was a little bit nervous, but am proud to say that I am doing a fantastic job, and am so proud of myself and my team here. Bliss has really taken some turns towards being exactly how I had originally imagined it could be; fun, friendly, artistic, environmentally conscious, community oriented, successful, and I love it! Bliss has really bloomed into a fabulous place, come in and give us a try, I promise you will enjoy being here as much as we do!

Kat graduated from cosmetology school in Los Angeles, CA. She worked at a salon in Orange County where she was trained and pushed to learn many different color lines , styles, and cutting techniques. Creativity, inspiration, and the love for hair design and make up are all aspects that Kat puts into her work. Kat has always had a passion for creating looks to enhance every individual. She has worked in a vast range in the industry, anywhere between fashion shows, editorial, weddings, film and much more. She sees every cut and color as am opportunity to enhance the beauty of each individual.

Hi, my name is Mary. I was born and raised in Germany and moved here in my early twenties, came to love it and am here to stay. I have ten years experience in the field and artistry of hair. My training was strictly Pivot Point with a dash of Sassoon. I like balance and variety so I decided to get really good at men haircuts and now I enjoy working with tons of guys. For the ladies I strive for the best, most natural color. Taking a look at your eye color and complexion are standard part of my consultation. I like to bring out beauty that looks effortless and natural. It's exciting to work at Bliss, this team always tries to makes things even better and I am proud to be here.

Hello! I am Rae Bridges and very excited to introduce myself to everyone in Portland. The moment I stepped into this city I fell in love and am so happy to be working at such a fabulously unique salon. I've moved here from Florida, and have lived from coast to coast and Europe . This has helped to mold me into the friendly and diverse person I am. I attended a private cosmetology school, learning under the world traveled Sigel, in Alaska. I have been working with hair professionally for 4 years but have known this world is my passion since the day me and my little sister played hairdresser in front of the camera years ago. After my son was born my husband and I decided to move back west were I began pursuing my dreams of hair artistry. After beauty school I joined a salon with an apprentice program. This opportunity gave me the tools and skills to create unique, specific and personalized styles. I absolutely love doing all types, colors and styles of hair do's.
