Laura Hartson, Owner & Spa Goddess
I am Laura, the owner of Bliss Salon & Day Spa, as well as a practicing spa team member offering services in Skincare, Massage, Makeup Artistry, and Hair Removal. Bliss was founded in 2004 by 3 partners, me, my beloved mom Nancy, who passed away in late 2005, and Sabrina, a local hair stylist. My Mom was really excited to be part of the business and is greatly missed; Sabrina and I agreed to split ways in mid 2007.

Now at the sole owner of Bliss, I will admit I was a little bit nervous, but am proud to say that I am doing a fantastic job, and am so proud of myself and my team here. Bliss has really taken some turns towards being exactly how I had originally imagined it could be; fun, friendly, artistic, environmentally conscious, community oriented, successful, and I love it! Bliss has really bloomed into a fabulous place, come in and give us a try, I promise you will enjoy being here as much as we do!

My name is Kristen. I'm an esthetician. I love my job. I'm interested in the natural and holistic aspects of healing that are involved with working on skin. My favorite treatments are facials and waxing. I'm originally from Michigan. I've been in Portland for five and a half years. What I love about Oregon are the parks, camping and boating with my friends. I'm very appreciative and thankful for my life and all the people in it.


Kaylin Jensen, Wax Goddess
I started my career in the beauty and healing industry after completing high school. I began my journey in Portland and in New York City attending East West College of the Healing Arts and The Swedish Institute of Massage. After completing the massage program I felt a strong calling towards aesthetics… and so I decided to attend the European Institute of Cosmetology under the teaching of Denise D'Angelo. After my graduation in 2005, I went on to do a year long apprenticeship studding under Lori Nestor, Boldijarre Koronczay and Ariel Fauley. Today my main focus is speed waxing, "It is my professional goal to allow clients to feel their waxing services are as care free as any other errands they may be doing that day."

Tiffany, Cut and Color Goddess
Hello, I'm Tiffany. I am a hair stylist and makeup artist and I love what I do. I appreciate having the opportunity to "design" all day, especially when the result is a person who feels better about themselves. I've learned that self-expression is really a saving grace for some people.
Moving to Portland, I decided to go big or go home. I entered the apprenticeship at the long-standing Magnum Opus to get a great foundation and respect for the professionalisim in this business, as well as a desire to always be learning more.
I have really enjoyed building long term realtionships with clients and seeing them as they live their lives but I also adore having first time clients and watching nerves and reservations dissolve as they relax and get excited about their new ‘do.
I have extensive training in European haircolor and French cutting but I specialize in and love special occasion and event styling. Over the last several years I have focused a lot of energy on developing my skills in hair, makeup and styling for runway and print models.
I am an Oregon girl for sure and enjoy all of the crazy variety the Pacific Northwest has to offer – in people and landscape alike!

I specialize in fashion forward color and styles complimentary to the unique feel of Portland. I also have extensive training in Keratin Straightening and Up-do Styles. The moment I stepped into this city I fell in love and am so happy to be working at such a fabulously unique salon. I've moved here from Florida, and have lived from coast to coast and Europe . Hello, my name is Skyi Perkins, you can call me Skyi or Skyi-Byrd (I'll answer to both). I was born and raised here in the N.W. I spent a few of my adult years living in Philadelphia. After my son was born my husband and I decided to move back west were I began pursuing my dreams of hair artistry. After beauty school I joined a salon with an apprentice program. This opportunity gave me the tools and skills to create unique, specific and personalized styles. I absolutely love doing all types, colors and styles of hair do's. The beauty of this business is the diversity you get to explore. I would love to meet you and create a wonderful unique style all your own.

My name is Nicole Escudero and hair is my passion. A Portland native, I've been doing hair for several years. Right away I knew I had found my calling. Everything I have learned along the way has come naturally to me and I always thoroughly enjoy working with hair.
